Why I Love What I Do
I have always lived in Michigan, but grew up with parents who loved to travel. My name was inspired by the vast red rocks of Sedona, Arizona. It was only fitting that, at the age of 18, I finally visited the place I was named after and even took my senior pictures at the Sedona Airport Scenic Lookout. In some ways, photography fell right into my lap. At every scenic overlook my small point-and-shoot camera was wrapped around my hand by its small wrist band. I absolutely loved capturing our adventures. What I came to realize is that photos of the mountains, deserts, and seas are much better with other people in them.
There is something about human love and life that is just so beautiful. Capturing everything from the day-to-day, the big moments, and the once-in-a-lifetimes is my why. When I’m not behind the camera or my laptop, I am busy with my little fixer-upper home I bought 2 years ago! I am currently adding the finishing touches to my space, and am already dreaming of my next home to make my own. I am currently planning an intimate wedding in South Dakota with my fiance and boyfriend of 5 years, Henry. My dad is marrying us on Henry's family's property this summer – talk about special! These are the moments I live for!
